Out of it, the total number of Indian students enrolled during the same period is 59,419, making India the top country, surpassing China. This number reflects a significant rise year-on-year, with Indian enrollments growing by around 20% compared to earlier counts.

In the 2024–25 academic year, Germany recorded 402,000+ international students, reflecting a growth rate of around 6% compared to the previous year. This is one of the strongest increases the country has seen in recent times.
